Why professional teeth cleaning?
Bacterial deposits may contribute to gum inflammation and tooth decay. Interdental spaces, crown margins and other hard-to-reach areas cannot always be fully cleaned at home.
During professional cleaning, accessible hard and soft deposits are carefully removed. It supports prevention but does not replace daily home care or dental examinations.
How a cleaning may proceed
We first assess teeth and gums. Deposits are then removed with suitable instruments, surfaces are polished and fluoride may be applied when indicated. You receive advice on suitable aids for your personal oral hygiene.

How often is cleaning advisable?
The appropriate interval is individual. Gum health, oral hygiene, existing restorations and personal risk factors all play a role. We recommend the next visit based on your findings.
